Return from Impromptu Hiatus

and now I'm back, from outer space, I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face...

I feel the need to explain away my temporary hiatus. Simply put, I met a girl, and I have been spending a lot of time with her, basically all of my time. She is away right now, and my classes are cancelled - due to professor illness (get well soon Carter, you're the literal man), so I have even more free time on my hands today. Also, I am totally cuddling the pillow she left in my room this morning, it smells like her, and it's lavender and fuzzy and soft and I love it.

So here I am, sitting on my bed, unable to break this smile, cuddling a fuzzy lavender pillow. I would post a picture, but the levels of judgement may increase with visual proof. To explain this drastic change in my opinions on the world, I will need Ron Swanson's help.

Before I met her, I was this Ron Swanson:

And now that I am with her, and growing evermore fond, I am this Ron Swanson:

I haven't been this happy in years, perhaps in my entire life. This sense of euphoria in inexplicable, incomprehensible, I just don't understand it. All I know is:

I am writing way too little, and posting way too many GIF's. But seriously guys, this girls is just amazing, absolutely, irrevocably amazing. She loves Doctor Who you guys.

She has described her Who addiction as a "serious issue," and that's just my kind of woman. Of course I watch anything and damn near everything. Hell, I'm watching American Horror Story: Coven right now. That's the thing though, now that I am spending so much time with her, I have precious little time to get through my shows, so my Television addiction has become a slight problem - I was only able to watch three shows last night, of the twelve I normally do. I've already cut a few shows from my list, the ancillary one's I do not care about. As in The Voice, Bar/Tattoo Rescue, The Goldbergs, Mom, Dads, The Millers, the Tomorrow People, and now Super Fun Night. But in all honesty, I don't mind at all, it's time better spent, and I'm thankful for it. However, she has stalled my progress with Arrow, and it only upsets me because Arrow is such a goddamn good show, but I'll finish it Thanksgiving break next week, so no worries there. I don't regret a single second of  all the time spent with her.

Shit. Is this coming off too strong?

my apologies people, but I've never really been in a place like this, where all I want to do is rant and rave about how goddamn happy I am. So this Friday, the midnight movies are The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Delivery Man, and Thor: The Dark World. My choice would have to be Catching Fire, primarily for my love of Jennifer Lawrence, but also because Jennifer Lawrence. J-Law (she lets me call her J-Law, we go way back), even knows how I feel about this girl I've been talking about, in both the innocent school yard crush words, and more... not so innocent words.

So, anyways, I have to ask her if she is willing to go see it or not, which also means we have to watch the first Hunger Games, that is, if she wants to watch it that is. Otherwise, I'll just be going with my suite mate as per usual.

In other news. The fifteenth of November happened, which means, PlayStation 4.

The world's quickest un-boxing.

 The world's quickest set up.

There you have it, my PS4 in all of it's glory. The only real downside to it at the moment is that it will not play dvd's or blu-ray movies. Games run fine, and so does Netflix. But even after the past two software I still cannot play dvd's - I'm hoping it's not a hardware issue, but if the problem persists, I'll trade it back in, they are apparently really fast with returns, but I'll probably wait until I'm done with finals week to send it back, just to give it some time, in case it is just a software issue.

That is all. Blog over, get the hell out. But watch this video first:

A Brief History of my Life - Part 2

Part two of "A Brief History of my Life" is finally here, and part three is only a month away. The sad thing is, I don't know where exactly to start. I guess I'll go right to the things I missed in part one.

The things I missed:

  1. My Brother, Brandon.
  2. My atheistic conversion.
  3. My World of Warcraft career beginning.
Starting with point one. My brother died before I was born, just a few days after his birth. It's led to me questioning everything about life in general and what we are doing in this planet. This whole event that I wasn't even around for, but am reminded of every year, has led to parts of my experiences with depression, and caused me to question my convictions and the meaning of life.

The answer to life, the universe, and everything.

What do I actually think the meaning of life is? To put it bluntly, to exist. To fluff it up, to better your "life" and the lives of those you care about. I feel as though this is everyone's meaning to life though, it's the general answer that everyone gives, or that most people agree upon.

I'm not entirely sure how I missed my atheistic conversion in part one. Probably because it was in a grey area of age where I'm not entirely sure exactly how old I was when I stopped believing completely. I've narrowed it down to somewhere between the ages of thirteen and fifteen. I still remember the day I told my mom that I don't believe in God. I can't remember what day it was, but we were just at my Grandparents and we were driving home. She made some comment about God's involvement in something, if I recall correctly, my cousin was in a car accident, the vehicle was totaled and he walked away with a few scrapes and bruises. I just responded, "God had nothing to do with his being alright." I got the typical "How could you say something like that." Of course, me, being the recently converted atheist with an agenda told her there is no God, and the only reason my cousin wasn't injured worse that crash is because the car fell in just the right way as to not injure him, any different and things would have been worse. I couldn't have let bygone's be bygones. She looked at me, with what appeared to be a mixture of rage and confusion, I wasn't sure what to think - I didn't know how badly atheists were vilified at the time, hell, I didn't even know the term atheist, I just know I wasn't a believer anymore.

Lastly, the summer between middle school and high school I picked up and started playing World of Warcraft, which would practically control my life for nearly seven year. Do I regret it? No, not for a second. I met some great people in the game, well I "met" some great people, and some of them still bother to keep in relative touch. I stopped playing the game last year, a month or so after the release of Mists of Pandaria and reaching level 90 on one of my characters and realizing I wasn't having any fun with the game at all. I mean, to be fair I had spent seven years playing the same damn game practically every day of my life, with a few month breaks here and there.

I miss those days, the Wrath of the Lich King days, where I joined this guild, only for the guild to splinter off and become a founding member of the guild I would stick with for the majority of my remaining time in the game. That's where I met my favorite people, but now that I don't play WoW I still have the need to role play, so eventually I'll be starting a D&D campaign. Likely using Roll20.net.

But now on wards to High School. The greatest four years of my life. Or so they were said to be. When High School rolled around, I had already fallen away from half of my middle school friends, and was no longer hanging out with them in my free time any more. I don't regret that either, there isn't much that I regret, there are things I regret, but more on that shortly.

I do wish that I made stronger bonds with some of my actual friends though. there's only three people from my High School that I am actually able to communicate with on a regular basis without feeling weird about it. I kind of wish there were more people I were able to talk with, just so it wouldn't feel weird to talk with them. That's one of the few areas that college has really helped with, my ability to transcend awkwardness and talk to people. But when there's only five or six people that I can actually call my friends in this world with straight-up confidence I feel as though somehow I'm lacking, despite the fact that I feel that that is how it is with most people. We tend to keep to are small circles and don't really break out into other circles unless jettisoned into them like in situations such as college.

By the way, if any High Schoolers are reading this, and you go anywhere other than a community college, High School does not prepare you for college - and College I hear does not prepare you for any forms of higher education, most even say it doesn't prepare you for the "real world."

I've always been an English nerd. I've loved writing reading, understanding the English language (though admittedly my grasp on sentence structure is no where near perfect - and I'm not super good with word play). Just the English language though, nothing else. The language just fascinates me, how it's so damn complicated, it's the hardest language to learn, and yet we insist we are superior because we speak English. As if speaking anything other than English made someone somehow inferior. I'm a weak individual, I can't win most physical fights, that's not opinion, it's fact - but I speak English, so by the logic of English superiority, some big Mexican guy stands no chance against my scrawny figure because I have the power of English.

My tangents are fun for me to write, but I have no idea how fun they are to actually read. But anyways, I've always preferred my English classes to my other classes. I've always had a mathematical mind and did well in math as well, but English classes were my home away from home. Then I went to college and discovered Film Studies, but that's part three stuff, lets not get carried away. My favorite teacher of all time was, you guessed it, an English teacher, my Junior year English teacher, whom I believe was let go in my Freshman year of college, along with all the other brilliant people teaching at the school. She wrote one of my recommendation letters, along with the greatest math teacher in the history of math teachers. If either of you are reading this somewhere down the line, I just want to say thank you for all that you've taught me, your'e amazing people.

Is this just a personal turn-on?

I started writing stories when I was a little kid, however I just don't have the ability to finish a single thing I start. I don't know what it is exactly. If it's some sort of inferiority complex I have, or just a serious lack of attention to what I'm writing. Perhaps once I get out there in that real world I keep bringing up I'll be able to finish something.

I guess if I had to choose one thing that I regret the most from High School it would be not spending as much time as possible with my friend who passed away this past summer.

My tribute tattoo to him.

That is the RC Cola logo yes. His initials were not RC, but he did sign my yearbook senior year, on the last day of school as "RC Cola." And that was the last time I saw him, and now three and a half years later, I'll never be able to see him again. So I've immortalized him in the way he was, the way I'll remember him, the way he'll never be forgotten. Twenty one years old. Fuck.

I guess that's where my feelings about everything comes from. You meet the people that dont deserve the things that happen to them, and still these things happen to them and there's no justfying it. One could claim it was God's test that he died, but God's test for who? Certainly not the victim.

It would seem as though the test would be for the victims loved ones, but how much sense does that actually make? Did God really decide to kill a friend of mine just to test the faith of others? What kind of justification is there for that. The "mysterious ways" argument has no real backing, Hell, I work in mysterious ways. There's no omni-benevolence in that, if anything, its malicious.

Don't misunderstand me, I don't hate God, I can't possibly hate God. I do however hate the religion, all religions, they lead people astray from the "truth" giving them a false confidence in the impossible. I get that some cope with trauma through religion, and that's all fine and dandy, but again its all false promises. People live their lives devoting them to their choice of poison. They believe things they cannot possibly know, just on the grounds that if it's true they reap the benefits. Some people even believe in fear of what may happen if they're wrong. It's heart breaking for me, and for them, how I live my life is heart breaking. At least the atheism aspect of it.

It's ironic though, because my first tattoo was a Celtic Cross and some words in Latin on my forearm.

The whole thing took roughly four hours to finish, and cost $240. I've been asked a few times if it has to do with my religious beliefs, and every time I respectfully tell them it's a heritage thing. The words aequitas and veritas mean justice and truth respectively. The words are most known for their existence in the Boondock Saints films.

One of the main things I regret about High School was my general inability to tell people, especially females, my feelings for and about them. I became somewhat of a shut in prior to High School and mostly kept to myself. There's a few girls who I'll admit I had some strong feelings for, but my insecurities kept me from asking them out, or even telling them anything emotional.

But ultimately I regret nothing about High School. I may claim to regret things, but that isn't entirely true. The regrets, the pitfalls, everything that went down in my formative years, and everything that will happen in the coming years, has and will shape the person I am and will become.

So yes, despite my qualms with my past, it all amounts up to who and what I am, if I were to regret that, I would regret myself. I don't, and if I did I give you, faithful reader, permission to hit me square across the face.

Blog's over homies. Watch the video, in honor of seeing Thor: The Dark World tonight, the video is "Everything Wrong with Thor." I'll see you next time.

Mid Semester Break, Also Known As: Game Time

Hey, you there, with the eyes.

Yes you, the one reading this, you know who you are. You know what time it is? No, it's not Adventure Time. It's Game Time. It's officially Mid-Semester break, and since I just finished my essay for Film Western literally 25 minutes ago (it is now 8:40), and The Legend of Korra  is on, all I have to do before I can play los video juegos (Spanglish on yo asses) is watch the rest of Korra and all 42 minutes of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.

Tomorrow, Pokemon X comes out, and I found out earlier that the usual 3 PM shuttle to Walmart on Saturdays does not exist during Mid-Semester break. So it's another hour and a half round trip to Gamestop for me in the AM. I am so thankful that I won't have to do this trek to Gamestop for the rest of the semester, unless I decide to get the new Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS, and I'm not sure if I will, at least not day one. What? You think I'm kidding? Look at me.

Do I look like I'm kidding? Do I look like someone who enjoys four mile walks just to pick up a game? No. No one likes doing that. NO ONE. Especially lil' ol' me, who likes nothing. That was a lie, I like things. I'm sorry I lied to you, here, have a cookie. Sorry, he got to it first. He always seems to do that.

So I've been trying to beat Pokemon Black 2 before X comes out --- Oh shit, Korra has amnesia. Why are these children's shows so damn good. They're better than a lot of other crap out there on television. This is coming from a guy that watches almost everything television has to offer. You know, aside from the no good worthless schlock.

I don't have a prejudice over what can be good television, anything can be good television. Anything. And I mean it. They just have to try. Take the new show The Millers for example. With that cast, the sky was the limit. I figured the show couldn't possibly be anything less than good. But the writing, the sheer horridness of the writing, words cannot describe just how bad the writing is. I don't know how it hasn't been cancelled yet. Maybe it got better, maybe episode two wasn't as terrible as episode one. But when episode one makes you want to cry because you actually know you could have written a better episode of television in your sleep, you don't even want to find out how good episode two turned out. That being said, the only two new shows that have been cancelled so far, are We Are Men and Lucky 7.

The former I quite enjoyed, while admittedly the latter didn't find it's standing yet, and had the worst possible ratings a show on ABC could have had. We Are Men, despite having rather poor critical acclaim, and poor ratings, was not that bad of a show. I honestly don't know how it didn't do better, considering Tony Shaloub was in it. But now I'll never know how the show will end. I hate when a show gets cancelled just a few episodes in, because they don't even have the capability of finishing a season for the million or so who actually liked (or just watched) the show. I need to know how it was going to end. Why are shows cancelled so Early? I want to know why, tell me why. TELL ME!

In other news. My list of movies, its still at 106. If you missed the drop from 107, it was Prisoners, I saw Prisoners, it was good. I recommend it. A lot. It was fantastic. Go Watch it. If you want to know how good it was in three words, ask Dr. House.

Sometime later tonight I'm going to watch Much Ado About Nothing and The Croods. The latter to shut my suitemate up who keeps telling me I have to watch it. You know who you are, you can stop telling me to watch it now. Seriously. Stop.

In case you also missed it from my previous post. I mentioned a little project that my Advanced Poetry class was doing involving a typewriter, my jaw, and dropping said jaw.

Here you see the thirty pound beast in its natural habitat. The Dr. Pepper can runs away in awe of the typewriter's majesty. If you recall, the assignment calls for the students to write a long, linked poem, in the style of Japanese Renku. We were given seven rules (they are labeled rules, but they are really guidelines), which I will list below verbatim.

Rule #1: There are no rules. Write what you want, in any style, any voice, any manner, but do keep in mind that you're (we're) writing a poem, not a long, thing block of fractured prose.

Rule #2: In the spirit of Ammons, the shape of the poem (the lay and play of lines) will be dictated by the width of the paper (3 1/8 inches). As a group working together, we should be "listening to" eachother, but no one should feel limited by another person's poetic trajectory.

Rule #3: Like improvised music, your lines should be written "on the spot," and not "pre-written." The poem must be typed, and no words or phrases can be erased. Think by typing. Type by thinking. Follow the clackety keys.

Rule #4: The typewriter may not be kept by anyone for longer than one week. It must be returned to class on the Monday after you took it away. The exception is that you may pass the typewriter off to another member of the class during the week if you work out the logistics (but please let me know). Also, you might want to organize a group "type-in" where several people get together to work (this, in the more traditional spirit of Renku). Finally, if you'd like to drop off the typewriter early to me, feel free to do so, I will then contact someone else about picking it up.

Rule #5: Just as Basho, considered the master of haiku (and a great practitioner of Renku poems), had many disciples working with him, you should consider Ammons' Tape your masterwork: think about the way he works with the limitations of the paper roll, how his use of the poetic line makes the paper's width both inevitable and invisible. If you get stuck, turn to Ammons. Let him be your guide.

Rule #6: You may write as much as you like (there's plenty of "scroll" to go round). Please date the start of each new section. When you're done with your section, please type your initials, not your full name. The paper roll is rather delicate, so take care that the paper is not torn. Roll up the poem when you're finished with your section. But of course everyone can and should read what's been written.

Rule #7: Write like you mean it. Go wild.

So those are the rules. There are not that many of them, and they are pretty basic. But yeah, I had the thing from Wednesday after I wrote my blog post. I had no idea I was actually going to be the one to take it Wednesday, and then took I it back on Thursday. This was the email I sent out to let the class know it was in the English Department Office - Our drop off/pick up zone. "Attention Alpha Team, the eagle has returned to its nest, intercept at your own risk."

So the other day my ex told me to go read a recent Tumblr post of hers. I hadn't been on Tumblr in ages, ages being weeks, and I don't really plan on going back to Tumblr. I just don't get it. It doesn't appeal to me. Any way, the post was basically her taking the blame for our relationship ending. As we both suffer from depression, it's practically impossible for either of us not to think it's anyone's fault but our own. So really, I respect that she is saying it's her fault, but come on, I mean, I'm the man right, it's never the woman's fault. Am I right ladies... heh... hehe... heh... God I'm so terribly awkward. But yeah, relationships man.

I don't understand them, they kind of freak me out, and I don't think that is normal. People typically aspire to be in a relationship, and so do I. But gah am I terrified to start a relationship, to be in one just... I can't even think about it. The way the last one I was in went, I'm afraid of what it would be like with anyone else. Literally. She understood me and the way I was before we started the relationship, she knows I'm terrible with communication, and most people aren't. So when I think about getting into another relationship with someone, or whatever. I just think, okay, when I don't tell them that I have free time, or whatever I don't say, it's just going to end the relationship before it can really begin because that's how pathetic my life is.

Who knows, maybe by the time I'm 30 I'll have worked through all this bullshit and I'll be able to properly communicate everything to everyone. Hell, the only reason I'm able to do it here, is because my writing is the only way I can express my emotions and what-not. Seriously, and the only reason that is is because I'm writing this while nobody else is reading it. If I know somebody is able to read this as I write it - which come to think of it, someone probably is - I wouldn't be able to write it. That's how hopelessly hopeless I am. For reals.

I'm not that awkward with conversations though. I can talk to anyone about anything really, as long as I know the subject. But I can't start a conversation with people I barely know. If they instigate, sure, I'm able to talk to them. If they don't, I'll be damned if a word is ever spoken between us. I'm the same way in class too. As a creative writing major, I'm in a lot of workshop classes, which are basically submit your work to the class, and then discuss the positives and negatives. I can write everything that is good and bad about their work with great ease, but I have trouble speaking up unless called upon. It's just the way I am wired. I can't help it, and it has negatively affected my grade in every workshop class I have been in. Here's Emma Stone using a Shake Weight:

That's how we move on here, we post pictures of attractive celebrities using Shake Weights. God I love her. Back off Spiderman, she's mine now.

True, I can't really compete with that. You win this round Spiderman.

So. I have to go watch Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and Much Ado About Nothing. So here, have this amazing video:

Welcome to My Some-What Ordinary Life

And so it begins, the first post of what I hope to be a long standing blog, that is entirely about me. You may have noticed that slight egotism. Believe me, I'm not egotistical in the slightest. If anything, I hate myself but love my writing. It's cathartic, I suffer from self diagnosed mild depression.

Some days, I'm chipper and ready to tackle the day, most every other day I just want to sit around and do nothing. Writing helps me escape from those days. Writing and Film.

Any form of cinematic experience really, from your everyday movie, to nearly every television show on the planet. No really, I watch that much television. If you haven't heard of the app I'm about to mention, and you watch a decent amount of shows, I highly recommend it. There's a free version, and a not so free version. the not so free version is worth it though, and you'll just have to take my word on that. Anyway, the app is SeriesGuide, SeriesGuide X for the not so free version. The app allows you to keep track of shows you are currently watching, and it lets you know when the next episode is going to air, or when shows are going to go into mid-season or just take a week or two off before coming back with another episode. The reason I brought up the app in the first place though was because it has this fancy "statistics" feature that tells you how many shows have an upcoming episode (or episodes that you haven't watched yet) that you're watching. It also tells you how many episodes of different shows you have managed to waste your life away watching and how much time that adds up to. And to prove my TV addiction, here is how the app reads out my statistics:

240 shows
98 With Next Episodes
134 Continuing

22565 Episodes
20223 Watched
542 days 13 hours 57 minutes

And that's just what it's currently at. After today, that watched total will go up by 11, and the total time in turn will increase. It's easy to say that I need an intervention of sorts, I mean, I am currently writing this during the season two premiere of Revolution AND OH MY GOD NO! okay, I lied, it wasn't during commercials and shit just went down. Not him, WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE HIM! Sorry, they just killed off the best character in the show, and I am slightly upset. GAH.

I'm in denial that that just happened, this has to be a dream, I mean, there's 10 minutes left in the episode. This wasn't a cliffhanger where they save the character two minutes into the next episode. No, this was a chest getting slashed open with a machete, guy falling over, people trying to save him, body going stiff, and pulse check, with verbal "he's dead" confirmation. I refuse to accept this.

I... I... I don't want to watch this show anymore. He was the only reason I finished season one, and unless some science fiction miracle happens in the next minute of the show, I quit. I will, don't teHOLY SHIT. HE FUCKING WOKE UP. THIS WAS NOT PLANNED I SWEAR.

I promise you, I am not writing this after the fact of seeing the episode. That was pure anger turned to joy, in seconds, and you got to read it in real time. But now, Modern Family time. Two episodes. After that would be the penultimate episode of The Bridge. Talk about a show that is all over the place, it's probably the only FX show that I take issue with the writing. Granted I don't watch Justified to have enough of an opinion on it, and I probably should, because like everything else on FX it's more than likely fantastic. But I mean, when you are writing a television show, you just don't write it the way The Bridge is being written.

Go to any show, any show, and tell me if what I'm about to say is incorrect. Each season of a narrative drama tends to have a single overarching story line, it may have inner stories worked in that lead to things in the overarching plot. Anyway, the show consists of 13 episodes in total, and with episode 12 tonight, with the way episode 11 ended the show appears to be entering it's third, THIRD, main story line for the main two cops. Unless something fantastically stupid happens in the first five minutes of the episode that continues the plot started on episode 8 after the first overarching story ended.

Don't get me wrong, I love The Bridge. It's a great show, the writing isn't terrible, it's really just the way they have framed the story, and hopefully when season two comes along that will be fixed. Or am I just over reacting and my theory that there should only be one main story per season is just me being a know-nothing loser that doesn't know how to write good television. That may be the case, the only screen play I wrote was for the third Sherlock Holmes movie for a class. and that was around forty five pages, the typical length of an hour long television show (42 minutes) and I got a 95 on that. Not that that really means anything. Hell, it wasn't a 100, and I didn't bother to try and send it to some place so that it could be filmed, that wouldn't make much sense, I would need like another 60 to 70 pages for it to be the appropriate length of a feature film. And that's more than twice the length of what I had written.

Granted it only took me like, ten hours to write what I had. So if it only takes me a day, to write a somewhat decent script to a movie. I feel pretty good about myself. Especially considering screenwriting is one of the things I want to do with my life. The others would be to write terribly boring books no one in their right mind wants to read but would love to watch on television, and to grow old and die with someone I love. Lame right? That old cliche.

But in all seriousness, until recently I thought I had found that person. What's that you ask? More Cliches? You bet your ass there will be more cliches. Yeah basically it was your typical friends since grade school develop feelings for each other and date for a while. Only problem is, I'm a terrible boyfriend, or at least that's how it ended the first time. Yep, the first time. I have trouble relaying information to people. I know right, in this day and age, with the cell phones, and the Twitters, and the Facebooks, you would think It'd be easy for someone to tell another person something. Well that's not the case if you happen to be a some-what socially awkward anti-socialite. Some time after the initial "break-up" we decided to give it another "old college try" the problem this time, at least according to her, was the distance. Apparently living an hour apart, while neither party has a car is not a good relationship make. Who knew?

Now I'm not blaming anyone for the fact that our relationship ended, and because I know she is likely reading this, I just want to reaffirm that while yes my feelings were hurt, I'm over it, and I understand. I get why you ended it, I do, I just don't understand why it had to be the night of the day before I came home while I was writing my final project for a class (Which was the aforementioned screenplay for that Sherlock Holmes movie). Bee Tee Dubs, we totes need to talk about things girl, so give me a call or something, I'd prefer something, calls scare me. Now that this is incredibly awkward, how about we move on to a different subject.

Thanks for your approval Dr. Chase. I'm looking at the checklist of things I wanted to cover in the first one of these, and I've covered almost everything. So how about we discuss Atheism. There's a red word nobody ever wants to read or talk about for whatever reason. I'll admit that it has its negative connotations, some serious negative connotations. But I promise you I am not that type of atheist. I'm the good kind of atheist, you know, the one that doesn't give a crap about what you choose to be and what you choose to do as long as you can respect me enough to do the same. Yep, that kind of atheist.

I've kind of grown out of the whole, talking about it, sort of thing. That is giving my reasons and feeling the need to explain myself. Nobody is asked, why they are a Christian, Muslim, or whatever, or at least I haven't seen that happen or experienced it when I was a Christian. Why does this need to be any different? Rhetorical question, please don't answer it.

I'm also a straight edge. Yep, remember when I said I don't fit into the norm? Or did I not say that? I don't fit into the norm. Remember when I said I don't fit into the norm, now? For those unaware as to what a Straight Edge individual is, and yes, I do quite commonly get asked what that means. Simply put, it's as follows: The philosophy/life-choice that humans should have strength, pride, dignity, honor, and self respect; that they shouldn't engage in activities that are a disgrace to their minds and bodies. Such as ingesting and/or becoming addicted to harmful substances for fun, lying and/or being two-faced, and sharing your body sexually with another person when there isn't even a true emotional bond there. And that's pretty much me. I don't drink, don't tobacco it up, and I don't participate in the use of potentially harmful substances like marijuana and cocaine. I also don't believe in having sex before a strong emotional connection is formed, I'm what most people would call a square.

I pretty much live in Squaresville. By the way, if you haven't seen the web series, here's a link to the playlist for season one. It's good stuff. click here for cookies.

Sorry, I lied about the cookies. There are no cookies.

While we're on the subject of YouTube and things on YouTube I'd like to bring up one channel in particular. CTFxC I assume I am quite late to the game on these guys, I only just recently this year started watching their videos. But I have watched all the big one's and for the past month and a half have watched all of their daily vlogs. The vlogs follow Charles and Allie Trippy in their everyday lives. They've been doing them for 1608 days straight as of today, and Charles just had brain surgery, so if you want a rather emotional roller coaster. Just click on that link to their channel and enjoy.

Lastly, I want to talk about movies. Mainly how many of them I have somehow managed to convince myself I have to watch before the year ends. The main reason I have so many is because I decided that for some reason I would be lazy over the summer and not really do anything but play old final fantasy games and watch HBO shows I haven't seen yet. I did so little this Summer it's almost insulting to how much I've managed to do so far in this semester with all of the work I have to do for classes on top of everything else. I didn't watch much movies over the summer, and in turn, didn't watch much over the course of the year either. But if you want to see a list of the summer movies I saw, here it is, and in no particular order:

1. The Wolverine
2. Star Trek: Into Darkness
3. Now You See Me
4. The Hangover Part III
5. Fast & Furious 6
6. This is the End
7. Man of Steel
8. World War Z
9. After Earth
10. The Lone Ranger
11. Kick Ass 2

Now some may see that list, and think, that that isn't a bad list. In fact it seems quite productive. Keep in mind that on average, I watch around one hundred movies a year. Progressively watching more and more each year. Right now, my to watch list, that I will begin to dig into once I finish American Horror Story: Asylum sits at 107 films, granted I probably won't watch all of them or won't even be able to watch some of them. But I do expect my total number of films count by the end of this year to be over 100.

I seriously need help.

Here's a video to tie you over until my return in a few days:
